Basement level after
demolition. The columns at the far end were excavated down to the
footing to confirm their structural integrity. Additional loads
from new construction would be placed on upper floors. The
basement columns had to support this additional weight. The
hose is pumping out water from the excavated column, that had seeped in
from the water table. |
